Nancy Lieberman

On today's episode of Legends Of Sport, Andy chats with one of the most accomplished women the game of basketball has ever seen, Nancy Lieberman. Nancy talks about getting introduced to the game of basketball and spending her early days at Rucker Park in Harlem. She shares her experience of trying out for the Olympic team while she was in high school, as well as the boycott of the 1980 Summer Olympics. Nancy also discusses coming out of WNBA retirement at age 50, coaching in the BIG 3 league, and some of her current projects with Nancy Lieberman charities.

This week, we travel to Springfield, Massachusetts to celebrate Andrew Bernstein's Curt Gowdy Print Media award at the 2018 NBA Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Grant Hill – A Blue Chip Blue Devil

Considered one of the greatest all-around college basketball players of his era, seven time All-Star, Grant Hill, sits down with Andy Bernstein this week at the NBA Finals in Cleveland to discuss his legendary Blue Devil career and growing up a UNC fan. The son of a star NFL Running Back, Grant had been exposed to, not only sports, but politics through his parents ties to Hillary Clinton and George W. Bush. Grant discusses his rivalry with Jason Kidd that goes back to college, their co-Rookie of the Year awards, and now their induction into the 2018 Naismith Hall of Fame class alongside Steve Nash, Maurice Cheeks, and our very own, Andrew D. Bernstein. Grant discusses the lessons Coach K instilled in him at Duke that he took with him into the NBA where he led the Detroit Pistons in points, rebounds, and assists three times in six seasons; a record he shares with the great Wilt Chamberlain. After injuries threatened to derail Grant's career, he persevered becoming an indispensable role player with the Suns that eventually led him to the Western Conference Finals after fifteen seasons in the NBA. Retirement has kept Grant busy as both a renowned art collector, investment adviser, and part-owner of the Atlanta Hawks.
