Today in Sports History: April 15

On April 15, 2007, Joey Crawford ejected Tim Duncan from a game against the Dallas Mavericks for laughing on the bench, one of the most bizarre sequences in NBA history, especially for the usually quiet and reserved Duncan. This was one of just two ejections in Duncan’s impressive 19-year career. Duncan was sitting on the bench at the time, and when Crawford heard him laughing, he immediately ejected him from the game. Following the incident, Crawford was suspended from refereeing for the rest of the season by commissioner David Stern.
