On this day in 1999, 23-year-old Tiger Woods won his 2nd Major by one stroke at the 1999 PGA Championship. However, this wasn’t even Woods’ most impressive win to date. Tiger Woods’ won golf’s most coveted prize, the green jacket, when he was only 21 at the 1997 Masters Tournament. His second Major win was only a sign of things to come for the young star. Since turning pro in 1996, Tiger has spent 683 weeks ranked at no.1 including 281 consecutive weeks from June 12, 2005 to Oct. 30, 2010. Throughout his career, Tiger has accumulated a total of 15 Major wins and is tied first for PGA Tour wins with 82. At age 44, Tiger is showing no signs of slowing down. One of the greatest golfers ever, Tigers last win came at the 2019 Masters.
