In 2019, New Orleans wide receiver Michael Thomas set an NFL record for most catches in a season with his 144th as the New Orleans Saints beat the Tennessee Titans 38-28. Thomas broke a 17-year old record held by Marvin Harrison by one catch. Thomas was the 47th pick in the 2016 NFL draft and has excelled thus far in his young career. In his rookie season, Thomas set franchise records for a rookie in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns. In 2017, Thomas became the top receiver for the Saints, he finished the season with 104 receptions (3rd in the NFL)  for 1,245 yards and five touchdowns. Thomas was the NFL receiving yards leader in (2018,2019) and NFL Offensive Player of the Year in 2019. A 3x Pro Bowl, Thomas recently signed a five-year $100 million contract extension with $61 million guaranteed with the Saints.
