Today in Sports History: December 23

The Green Bay Packers secured their place in the NFC North when they defeated the Minnesota Vikings 23-10 in 2019. Aaron Jones tallied two second-half touchdowns and rushed 154 yards.

The Packers were recovering from back-to-back losing seasons (their first since 1990-91). The Packers finished the season 13-3, a drastic improvement from last year’s 6-9-1 record. The team went to the playoffs for the first time in 2016 and made it to the Divisional Playoffs after beating the Seahawks 28-23.
