In 1984, Bernard King became the second player in NBA history to score 50 points in two consecutive games. King accomplished the same scoring feat that Wilt Chamberlain achieved 20 years earlier. He se the team’s record for most points scored in a single game and in the 1983-84 season, broke his own record. King also played for the Utah Jazz, the Golden State Warriors, the New York Knicks, and the Washington Bullets before returning to the New Jersey Nets after a year-and-a-half hiatus. King retired with 19,655 points in 874 games and 22.5 points per game. He was 16th on the all-time NBA scoring list at the time of his retirement and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2013.
