On February 16, 1996, the Vancouver Grizzlies lost 110-100 to Atlanta in the first of what was then an NBA record 23 consecutive games lost during the same season. The Grizzlies were led by Bryant Reeves, Greg Anthony, and Blue Edwards in that season, and unsurprisingly missed the playoffs and finished with the worst record in the NBA, at 15-67. The Grizzlies’ unsavory record has since been surpassed by the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2010-11 and the Philadelphia 76ers in 2013-14, both of whom amassed 26 game losing streaks during one season. After the 2000-01 season, the Grizzlies relocated to Memphis, where they have played ever since.
