In 1999, Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Stephon Marbury became the fifth player in NBA history to register at least 40 points and 10 assists with zero turnovers in a game. Marbury had 40 points, 12 assists, and no turnovers in the Timberwolves’ 116-102 win against the Houston Rockets. The 4th pick in the 1996 NBA Draft, Marbury played 12 seasons in the NBA. A 2x NBA All-Star, Marbury recorded 16,297 points, 6,471 assists, and 1,022 steals over his NBA career. Marbury continued his basketball endeavors in China, where he found great success and stardom in the Chinese Basketball Association. Marbury played eight more years in the CBA and won three championships with the Beijing Ducks. During the 2012 CBA playoffs, Marbury averaged 45 points in one series and led the Ducks to win their first ever CBA Finals. Marbury is currently the head coach of the Beijing Royal Fighters of the CBA.
