On January 15, 1997, Chicago Bulls power forward Dennis Rodman tripped over cameraman Eugene Amos during a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves and proceeded to kick him in the groin. While Rodman received no penalty during the game—not even a technical foul—he was harshly punished afterward. His punishment from the NBA was an 11-game suspension without pay, and he ended up paying Amos a $200,000 settlement, resulting in about one million dollars lost in total.
