Today in Sports History: January 3

In 1993,  “The Comeback” QB Frank Reich, led the Buffalo Bills in a wild card playoff game and made the greatest comeback ever in NFL history. Reich led the Bills back from a 32-point deficit to defeat the Houston Oilers 41-38 in overtime The Oilers led 35-3 at one point in the third quarter but Reich managed to score four passing touchdowns. Bills running back Kenneth Davis contributed with a rushing touchdown. Miraculously, the Bills took a three point lead 38-35 in the fourth quarter before a late field goal by the Oilers took the game to overtime. Bills kicker Steve Christie secured the win in overtime with a 32-yard field goal, completing the greatest comeback in NFL history.
