In 1984, Jeff Malone of the Washington Bullets made a game-changing basket. The Detroit Piston’s John Long missed two free throws and Malone captured the ball before Jeff Malone could intercept it. Malone threw a buzzer-beating shot, putting the Bullets one point ahead of the Pistons.
Malone spent 13 seasons in the NBA and was known as a strong scorer. He averaged 19 points per game and had an 87.1% from the foul line.
