The longest lockout in NBA history began when the 2005 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) expired in 2010. This was the fourth lockout in league history and lasted 161 days. During the lockout teams could not access their training facilities and payers could not be traded or signed. On November 26, the players and owners reached an agreement that included a flexible salary cap and stricter luxury tax. The regular season was shortened to 66 games.
