At the 2004 Midsummer Classic, Roger Clemens gave up six runs during the first inning. The American League won 9-4 by the fifth inning. The 41-year-old Clemens received the Commissioner’s Historic Achievement Award in honor of his 21-year career. Clemens is remembered for his 1986 performance at the Houston Astrodome in 1986 when he pitched three perfect innings. Clemens played 21 seasons and won the most Cy Young Awards of any pitcher, with 7 trophies.  He retired with 354 wins, a 3.12 earned run average (ERA), and 4,672 strikeouts, the third-most all time.
