In 2013, Carlos Delgado became the 10th member to be inducted into the Blue Jay’s Level of Excellence. The award recognized the former first baseman’s contribution to the team and honored his 12-year career with the Jays. Delgado holds numerous team records including home runs (336), RBI (1,058), walks (827), slugging percentage (.556), OPS (.949), runs (889), total bases (2,786), doubles (343), runs created (1,077), extra base hits (690), times on base (2,362), hit by pitch (122), intentional walks (128) and at bats per home run (14.9). He and is remembered for a stellar 4-home runs game on September 25, 2003. Although he didn’t qualify for the Baseball Hall of Fame, he was elected to the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in 2015.
