In 1983, Fred Lynn hit the first grand slam in All-Star history. He set a one-game record for runs scored in a 13-3 victory which led to an 11-game winning streak. It was also the 50th anniversary of the All-Star game. Lynn played 1969 MLB games over 17 years and batted .283 with 1,111 RBIs, 1,960 hits, 1,063 runs, 306 home runs, 388 doubles, 43 triples, and had 72 stolen bases. He was inducted into the Boston Red Sox Hall of Fame in 2002.
