The Houston Rockets defeated the New York Knicks 90-84 in Game 7 of the 1994 Finals. Thanks to Hakeem Olajuwon’s 25 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists, the Rockets won their first championship in the team’s 27-year history. Olajuwon averaged 26 9 points, 9.1 rebounds and 3.86 blocks for the series and won Finals MVP. He was the the first player to win both Defensive Player of the Year and Finals MVP in the same season.
