In 1992, Clyde Drexler and Christian Laettner were selected as the final two members of the “Dream Team,” U.S. Olympic Men’s Basketball team. This all-star lineup was the first Olympics team to draw from working athletes in the National Basketball Association. It included Charles Barkley, Larry Bird, Patrick Ewing, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Karl Malone, Chris Mullin, Scottie Pippen, David Robinson, and John Stockton were named. Christian Laettner and Clyde Drexler. The undefeated Dream Team went on to win the gold medal in the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, Spain.
