In 1998, Chris Webber was traded from the Washington Wizards to the Sacramento Kings. This unusual trade took place during the playoffs and sent Mitch Richmond and Otis Thorpe to Sacramento. The 25-year-old Webber went on to make for All-Star appearances as a King and helped the team drastically improve their winning percentage. Just two years after the trade Webber averaged a career-high 27.1 points and led the Kings to the playoffs. Webber was then traded to the Philadelphia 76ers and spent one year each with the Detroit Pistons and Golden State Warriors before retiring in 2008. The Kings retired his no. 4 jersey in 2009 and he was ranked #64 in SLAM Magazine’s Top 75 NBA Players of all time in 2003.
