In 2001, Derek Jeter hit a game-winning home run during the New York Yankees versus Arizona Diamondbacks World Series Game 4. This clutch, 10th inning homer earned him the nickname “Mr. November.” The Yankees were coming off three consecutive World Series wins and Jeter was running hot with a .375 batting average over the previous three seasons. The Yankees beat the Diamondbacks and won the series 3-1 but were overcome by the Houston Astros on the road. Jeter is remembered as one of the baseball greats with five World Series and 14 All-Star selections as well as numerous team records over his 20-year career.
