The record for lowest-scoring NBA game occurred in 1950 between the Fort Wayne Pistons and the Minneapolis Lakers. The Lakers defeated the Pistons by one point, ending the game 19-18. George Mikan of the Lakers took 11 of the team’s 18 shot attempts and racked up 15 points during the game. John Oldham of the Pistons was responsible for five of his team’s 18 points. Luckily for the newly formed NBA league, the low-scoring game was one the worst performance on record. The second lowest game on record was a Detroit Falcone versos Washington Capitols game that ended 33-50.
